2003/10/28 ( 2:56 PM ) cxjo a hero, of sorts this kid managed to make most of a million dollars out of 8k by trading and promoting penny stocks with low volume. as far as i can tell, he did it all legally. at least as legally as the big traders do it every day... and he had no insider knowledge to speak of. the SEC took a big chunk of his earnings (they wanted it all, plus interest. they got about 1/3) but the fact that they settled out of court shows that they had a fair amount of doubt that they would win anything in court. thanks to juraj for the link. #
