2004/05/03 ( 7:45 PM ) cxjo conditioning + messed up sleep schedule = problem. i think the reason sailors are able to maintain funny sleep schedules is because they don't do any extended aerobic conditioning activity. i just can't wake myself up in the middle of the night before getting a full night's sleep, no matter how deeply i manage to sleep during the day. however, i will keep trying to catch naps at 1, 5, 9.. i think it keeps me much more alert and awake during the workday. conclusion (so far): if you're going to try to sleep only 1 hour total between midnight and 10am, don't spend a full hour every day riding your bike like a lunatic. maybe once i get into better aerobic condition (and therefore require less effort to get to and from work) it will make more sense . we'll see.. #
